Buying A House
Trust in Our Real Estate Experience
WE KNOW HOW TO BUY A HOUSE
Whether it’s your first time buying a house in Florida or you’re experienced with the process, buying a new home can be overwhelming. Partin Real Estate can help you every step of the way, but it’s helpful to know what you’re getting into. Below is a step-by-step process for you to follow in your buying adventure.
How to Buy a House
.01
Do Your Homework
What do you need? How many bedrooms? What town do you want to live in? Which school district do you want to be in? Do some research to help figure out what your family needs in a home and neighborhood.
.02
Get Pre-Approved
Ask yourself, "What can I afford?" Don't look at a home you can't afford. Yes, you may love it, but you may not be able to get close to acquiring a home loan of that size. You need to start with your budget and find that happy payment place (you don't want to be house poor).
.03
Meet with a licensed Florida Real Estate Agent
Give your realtor as many details as possible so they have a strong grasp on what you're looking for in a new house. After viewing a few homes, those wants may change. Your realtor may even find some homes you didn't even realize you would love.
.04
View Homes in Florida
As you view each home, take notes and pictures of everything. What is your first impression? Did you hate it the minute you stepped inside? Be honest, not polite. Your realtor wants the truth!
.05
Negotiation Time!
You found your new Florida home! Your real estate agent is key here. We know the Florida housing market and its trends. So trust, but feel free to question our opinion. Partin Real Estate wants the best place, price, and home for you! But communication is always key. Remember: You are not paying our commission, we work for you.
.06
Inspections
The home inspector is paid to find issues and they will find them. Know which issues concern you the most. You choose the inspector and you decide on the repairs you want.
.07
Moving Forward
The lender works their part in the background at the start of the contract. They will arrange the appraisal and ask for more stuff. Do your part to get the information to them so they can move forward. Do you need to shop for insurance? Furniture? Moving truck? Time to start the process of moving ahead.
.08
Final walk-through of your Florida home
Was everything you asked for fixed? Did you miss anything? This is your time to make sure all looks right.
.09
Closing Day
Congratulations, you're a Florida home owner!
Make sure you have switched over your utilities, set up accounts, and paid deposits. It’s now time to get the keys to your new house.
Take a moment and enjoy the sometimes long journey. It can take 30, 45, even 60 days for all this to happen; but it is over. Live and love your new house each day!
